CISION - WAREHOUSE
Cision (Warehouse)
Cision was my capstone project at my university, where I worked with a team of other designers to make a game, we had some help from the artists at the university too in terms of our major assets like the player, weapons, and AI characters. The game was built from the ground up in Unreal Engine by us, and our reference game was Ghost Runner. We essentially transformed Ghost Runner into a run & gun fps with some interesting level mechanics, it turned out quite cool! You can download Cision for free here: https://tta22.itch.io/cision
Warehouse is the first level I created for Cision, the idea was to make an industrial warehouse environment mainly utilizing the conveyor belt mechanic that I created. I will get into mechanic specific details later.
Level Playthrough
As Stated before the main selling point of this level is the conveyor belt mechanic. I also made conveyor launchers, which launches the player in a direction, making for more interesting movement situations when paired with conveyor belts. Another level-specific mechanic would be the package boxes that act like basic physics objects in order to showcase what conveyor belts do, to be used in puzzles, and to increase the overall feel of being in an industrial warehouse.

LEVEL LAYOUT
Early level layout of this map. The map layout evolved to be quite different from this original layout (which is typical in designing levels) but hopefully this is still helpful in conveying the original or overall idea. Also I did this in a fun way, with marker on a glass board (that could be erased of course) but...it's a little hard to see. Sorry.
